The Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council (EPSCO) is one of the 10 so-called ‘configurations’ (sub-divisions) of the Council of the EU. EPSCO’s mission is to increase employment levels and improve living and working conditions in the EU as a whole, ensuring a high level of human health and consumer protection.

Samtliga EU-ländernas ministrar med ansvar för sysselsättningsociala frågor, hälso- och sjukvård eller konsumentpolitik, samlas i denna rådskonstellation. Vid rådsmötet den 2 juni i EPSCO skall ett första utbyte av synpunkter på grönbokens frågeställningar äga rum. EU-kommissionen informerade om grönboken om ekonomisk migration vid EPSCO:s möte den 3 mars 2005, då Sverige föreslog att grönboken skulle tas upp till diskussion på nästa möte i EPSCO.
